Sony has recently learnt that its digital still camera Cyber-shot DSC-R1 may exhibit the following condition:

A minute and irregular dot (or dots) of color or brightness in a recorded image. This symptom results from an incorrect image processing firmware setting, which is easily corrected by a firmware update.

In Hong Kong, only the Cyber-shot DSC-R1 with the following serial numbers may be affected:
5381 101 ~ 5381 400
5382 601 ~ 5382 750
5385 351 ~ 5385 500

As a solution and to reassure customers, Sony would like to offer a firmware update to owners of the affected camera via the following Web site:
