Announcement on software update for LCD TV

We recently learnt that the following LCD TV models may show some symptoms, such as not being able to be switched on/off in a certain mode. These symptoms can be resolved via a software update. The customers who have the affected models are kindly advised to check the serial number of their TV and contact our technical hotline.
Affected models and serial numbers
KLV-V26A10 - serial number: (SER. NO.) 7000001~7002040
KLV-V32A10 - serial number: (SER. NO.) 7000001~7002899
KLV-V40A10 - serial number: (SER. NO.) 7000001~7006000
How to check the model name and serial number
Please check the model name and the serial number mentioned on the back of your LCD TV.
Subject symptoms
The following symptoms have been confirmed to occur when the subject LCD TVs are viewed for more than 1,200 cumulative hours:
- The TV cannot be switched off when the power is in “on” mode, or the TV cannot be switched on when it is in “Stand by” mode.
- It is not possible to change the input mode.
The aforementioned symptoms will be resolved via a software update.
