After researching soundbars, having always had Sony Tv's this soundbar was a no brainer. Sound was instantly fantastic. Clear dialogue and sound felt all around the room. Just waiting for rear speakers to enhance it further. Look no further than this sound bar you won't be disappointed. Also major shout out to Roy in the shop for running a demo on different bars.

This is Sony's flagship soundbar and produces the best 7.1.2 sound I have heard from a soundbar. Atmos movie soundtracks from Netflix & Disney+ films are great. The bass produced by this unit is sufficient that you do not need to buy its companion subwoofer. Playing music tracks from Spotify are a treat too using the Standard or Music modes. Unfortunately, this soundbar is let down by the Mobile Companion App, Music Center. Unlike Sonos or Audio Pro app from my other audio streaming devices, this Sony app does not have native TuneIn Radio built-in. It relies on your mobile having TuneIn app and then, Chromecast from it. You will be subjected to your TuneIn app's unwanted advertisements and frequently, the TuneIn Chromecast will stop playing on its own and you have to manually restart it to play your radio station. This sucks!

but the woofer sw5，There have been two abnormal connection failures. I still don’t know the reason, and I haven’t gone back to report this problem to the merchant.

On its own, this is one of the best sound bars you can buy today. It's not the cheapest, but the sound is far superior to similar products offered by rivals (I'm looking at you Sonos and Bose!). Where it really comes to life is when surround speakers are added and the full 360 surround is enabled. Unlike other rivals that ask you to walk around the room waving your phone to configure the levels, Sony have included microphones in the speakers so set up really is simple. Yes, Sony claims there's a built in subwoofer, and yes it's fine. But if you really want your walls to rattle when Tom Cruise is flying around in Top Gun, you'll need the dedicated sub. Skip the small one as you'll regret it. The bigger sub is a fantastic partnership with the sound bar and whilst it'll empty your bank account, you won't regret it. The sub tends to walk around the room during bass heavy movies, so get ready to find a way of keeping it secure. The only problem I've experienced is that the rear speakers sometime disconnect from the sound bar and I have to manually reconnect them. Much has been written about this in forums and I hope it's a simple software update. The phone app is OK, but not as nice as the Sonos one. Finally, it would be really nice if Sony allowed me to tweak the bass and treble. I'm sure there's a really complicated algorithm that's taking care of this, but everyone has slight different preferences in sound.

I bought this a few months ago and I’m so glad I chose this one. Sound is great with the additional sub woofer. The only thing I don’t like is the display is too dim to show in daylight. Works ok at night.

There is the problem with this HT-A7000. When it is standing in front of TV XR-77A80K, the remote control does not working good. Because HT-A700 is in front of the TV console sensor. It's a bit too high, but it's no longer possible to raise TV legs higher, they are in the highest position.

Spent a long time looking at different reviews and listening to instore demos before buying this product. Have Now attached it to the wall and the sound for Movies, Music and Normal TV is really good. We have also purchased the SW5 Sub and surround speakers which have added a lot of depth to the listening pleasure. Bluetooth connectivity was also really easy. Only Gripe we had and this will not affect many people is that if you use the Optical Lead on the soundbar, you then cannot use the TV as the Centre speaker .

this bar has a great sound quality, but i enhanced it with the subwoofer, will be getting the rear speakers next

I bought few weeks ago, Connection thru eARC to my 8500G Sony TV got issue, not stable. Called Customer service also can not settle the problem.

I bought the Sony HT-A7000 a months ago and wanted to get a real feel for it, sadly it has disappointed. I bought the optional SA-SW5 Subwoofer and it gave out on me, stopped working so I reluctantly bought another one. The Dolby ATMOS experience is as promised and was really shocked after all the reviews on YouTube stated it was a wonderful feature that Sony nearly perfected. Next major gripe is the supposed HDMI 2.1 outputs, I have my PlayStation 5 connected to it and when verify video resolution it’s only displaying 4K at 60Hz not the 120Hz as advertised and features such as Variable Refresh Rate(VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) aren’t available. These features work only when I plug the PlayStation directly into the TV’s HDMI 3/4. ( My television is the Sony A90J). Sony fix your interoperability issues. There is no reason why my Sony PlayStation 5 connected to my Sony flagship soundbar that is connected to 2021 flagship television should be experiencing these issues.

Great sounding soundbar with some good features but not perfect. Can't believe there is NO ALLM or VVR support. If this had ALLM and VRR support would be best in `class hands down!

Only had it a short time but so far impressed added the sw5 sub and sa rs5 rears for full experience.

I bought it less than 3 weeks ago, very satisfied with its sound quality and performance bundled with Subwoofer SA SW5 and Rear Surround Speakers SA RS5 to give a whole theaterical feeling.

The A7000 is matched with the SW3. Due to lack of space, I do not have the rear speakers. It delivers clear sound and vocals and the SW3 provides the support when required. Channel distinction is not as definite as I thought it would be. Because of this, the Atmos effect is not discernible. This may be because of the room environment. The walls have acoustic wallpaper and on one side is a full-length curtain. These sound dampening surfaces may be the problem.

Great sounding soundbar especially when it's used with the optional subwoofer

I bought the sound bar to go with my Sony A95 TV, goes so well with the TV, dolby atmos performs brilliantly.

I bought this soundbar around 2 months ago. Pros: good dolby sound quality, great features along with my A90J, easy installation and configuration Cons: expansive, lack of base, upfiring speaker just cover with fabric like cover,

Decided to splurge and purchase the system to compliment my new Sony TV. Unboxed sounds bar and sub, set it up, maybe worked for 15 minute, was prompton to update software, update timed out, unit bricked itself with hello stuck on the display and completely unresponsive. Talk to customer support, attempted a factory reset with no success and was instructed to ship to warranty center. Also I believe but I can't confirm since unit stopped working the sub was popping. Very upsetting considering the high price tag. I hope this thing is not a lemon in the future, at the moment I'm thinking I should have just asked for a refund. On a bright note, the A90J has been great

I have had several very expensive AVRs from brands such as Sony, Onkyo, and Denon with speakers from Sony, Bose, and Def tech over the years with wires running around the floor. The HT-A7000 with surround speakers and sub does sound better than any of the other setups I have had and cost about the same with the bonus of true wireless surround speakers. The sound bar has a pretty decent GUI to navigate onscreen although not as robust as my previous AVRs. It also has fantastic sound calibration setup software compared to Audyssey and without the use of a wired microphone. If you are looking for a sound bar with 2 Hdmi 2.1 inputs that supports Dolby Vision and has true wireless rear up firing speakers that can run off internal batteries this is as of right now the only option I know about. If you do not need the above options you might be better off spending less on another brand. I purchased the HT-A7000 sound bar, SA-RS5 rear speakers, and the SA-SW5 sub together with a discounted price of $2,299.97. A month later after intense testing I am still very happy with the purchase. If you plan to only stream movies you will probably be disappointed with what the major streaming services call Dolby Atmos. I would not recommend spending this much on a sound bar to stream movies. Do yourself a favor and get a 4k blu ray player. There is a huge difference in sound quality when using a 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray Disc player vs streaming especially on 4K movies that use Dolby Atmos or DTS:X. I tested the sound bar without the surrounds and sub and it does a fantastic job with virtual surround by itself if you sit no more the 7 feet from it. Any further than 8 feet you will definitely want to add rear surrounds and a sub. The dialogue is loud and clear and the surrounds do a fantastic job of only producing sound that should be in the rear. The sub fills my 15’X18’ living room with massive bass. There is NO Ethernet port and you must use wifi or usb to update the firmware and cast music to the bar. (Negative one star for whoever at Sony didn’t believe this MSRP of $1400 sound bar didn’t need an Ethernet port)

The Sound is realy good for such a small case. Also the neatly integration of ALEXA, Airplay and Cast convinced. The 360 Spatial Sound astonished. For the full bass I will try the big 300 W subwoofer in the near future.

TV and Soundgarden + sub it is beutyful to look at

This comment is based on a single HT-A7000 setup in a living room about 100 sq feet. Short Pros and Cons: Pros: - Easy setup - Decent sound even without Subwoofer or rare speaker - With Immersive AE turned on, spatial sound feel pretty good - 2 HDMI In, Optical In, Aux In and even a USB In! - Sony ecosystem (or a cons?) - Good LDAC music playback qualify Cons: - Physical size is pretty big - Sound Mode not available when using Chromecast and AirPlay - AirPlay Music playback quality is average, limited by lacking of Sound Mode or EQ - Total cost is pretty high with extra SW and rare speaker - Lack of calibration mic Before purchasing the HT-A7000, I was using a free 2.1 sound bar that came with the TV purchase, which the sound even cannot catch up with Bose Home Speaker 500. I decided to upgrade the sound system andI have shortlisted Sony HT-A7000 and Bose 900. End up I picked the HT-A7000 because of the extra input that I required. And I have the sound bar setup and tested for a few Dolby Atmos movies from the streaming service as well as playing music via AirPlay and via LDAC. I owned both iOS devices and a Sony Xperia Pro-I. My Music Library is on Apple Music. Movie and Video Test I am using an Apple TV connected to the sound bar HDMI in as the movie test source. For viewing a few Dolby Atmos movies, with Cinema mode enabled and Immersive AE on, with the limited space of my home, I feel the sound bar did a good job even without the subwoofer. I can hear objecst fly around different directions But I am sure that with the subwoofer the base will be more solid and powerful. But based on this, I will probably order the SA-RS5 first to further improve the movie watching experience. And the voice mode and night mode also work pretty well. Music Playback Test But the music part is a bit disappointing. I am using Apple Music so AirPlay support is a must for me and it is great to see HT-A7000 support AirPlay. Function wise it is fine. But I'm not sure why Music mode cannot be enabled with AirPlay or Chromecast. And no EQ can be adjusted as well. When compare the quality of music playback via AirPlay to Bose Home Speaker 500. I think Bose does a better job in this aspect .Don’t get me wrong, the sound quality is not bad but I can be sure that the full potential of the sound bar is not being utilised. I further confirm that when I connect my Xperia Pro-I to HT-A7000 via LDAC. Using Apple Music as the source as well, but in this mode Music mode can be enabled and it delivers a much richer experience. With that here is my wish list via firmware update and hopefully like the Alpha camera, Sony can listen to customer feedback and enhance their products - Make Sound Mode available when using Chromecast and AirPlay - Or at least allow users to adjust EQ when using Chromecast and AirPlay, I can adjust EQ on my WH-1000XM5! - Add a calibration mic, maybe use smartphone apps? 360 Reality Audio Setup on WH-1000XM series requires taking photos of my ears! Everyone's living room is different, why does the soundbar need nothing?

Brilliant enhanced sound produced and I am glad I purchased it

Great sound, Immersive, wide. Internal SWs not really low enough but add the SW3 200w SW will fix that. Unless your room is big the 200 is good even at less than max volume. Too bad the Bar doesn't have a RJ-45 LAN port for wired connection for us who want wired over Wi-Fi. That might also remove a possible source of RF interference for the rear speakers. The RS5s connected fine but there were gaps in audio output even with test tones. I allowed the bar to Optimize the external speaker connections and so far so good. But, when audio source is LPCM (Hulu, Peacock) or Dolby or DD+ 2.0 don't expect to hear much from the rears. And the HDMI cable included seems a little thin for eArc or 8K pass thru and the same cut out where the HDMI out/eArc is seems a bit tight to use a stiff cable like an Audio Quest Carbon 48 instead, would be better if all connections were on the back instead. Overall, a much better setup then $2000 for speakers and dragging wire all over to connect + the 500 watts of power my AVR would use Vs.160 watts. and I still use my AVR when i need my noise cancelling headphones to block out A/C & other noises and overnight to be kind to the other condo units.

Delivered 2 weeks ago with my Bravia A80K TV. I was initially shocked by the quality of the sounds it produced. Truly the best soundbar I've ever heard (and I've heard a lot, including the Sonos Arc which I contemplated buying initially). Even without a subwoofer, it produces rich bass. Vocals leap out at you. The Immersive AE adds further dimensions to music. When hooked up to the Sony TV, even "old" movies like Top Gun sound fantastic.

I got this a while ago and if anyone wants stereo sound like a cinema at home then what are you waiting for purely outstanding in every way, the design the build the features and of course the sound is by far absolutely awesome

Have used this for a month now watching dolby atmos content mostly from streaming service. Sound is incredibly detailed and separation/surround effect is astounding. With subwoofer SW-5, the sound is on another level Looking forward to complete the setup when SA-RS5 released!

Sounds amazing on my old tv upgraded to A90j and now all I have is audio problems. Love it when it works.. sent it in to get fixed and they found nothing wrong I’ve switched cables, updates and setting. Still doesn’t work correctly.. but when it does it sounds amazing

I am so glad I own this. A bit expensive but the quality is outstanding.

So happy with my purchase. Whole package is price but is all as advertised

Love the sound this bar puts out, but you definitely need the sub to pull it all together. I am waiting for the new surrounds.

I've had it for about a month now and had very high expectations, as it got excellent reviews. Although it's good, its not great,I expected much more due to the nigh price. It's easy to set up, as I also have the X95j TV, it connected very easily, the HT-A7000 complements the TV very well and the sound is definitely enhanced. The Dolby Atmos feature works, but not as loud or noticeable as expected. You can deep dive in the settings menu and tweak the levels more, but it didn't make a huge difference. The built-in subwoofers are way too loud, I find myself toggling between High and Mid bass quite often. As I only have the soundbar by itself, the 7.1 surround sound is not very surrounding. Instead of the full domed experience as advertised, it's more of a frontal semi-domed experience. I'm waiting for the SA-RS5 rear speakers to be released to get the full domed sound. I'm sure with the surrounds and bass, the sound will be more complete. I was considering the HT-A9, but wasn't in stock. I would only recommend the HT-A7000, if you plan to buy the whole set, with bass and rear speakers to complete the sound space. Just by itself it's a bit expensive, any similar, high end 5.1 soundbar could do the same job. The jump to 7.1 isn't a huge difference.

Obviously only as good as the sound source but with the best sound sources it sounds great. Would never be as good as physical multiple surround speakers but I didn't want trailing wires everywhere and this is a big improvement over my previous and very good Sony Sound Bar.

I have bought this Sony HT - A7000 Sound bar 15 days ago. I really like its advanced features which merge really well with sony bravia 65 inch Oled tv. This sound bar feels me like theatre sound experience with Dolby Atmos in it. My kids really happy watching the movies and cartoons with clear sound. I recommend thing sound bar who wants all in one for excellent sound experience.

Upon arrival, the quality and attention to detail was clear to see, not just in the product itself, but the packaging and instructions too. The installation, (even for myself with limited technical ability) was easy. There's a very useful template for wall mounting. The connection instructions are clear and logically formatted with useful connectivity tips. There are many ports allowing connection to other devices, these are placed discreetly underneath the sound bar, therefore the appearance is not affected. In relation to the sound: The features are many. All are useful not gimmicky! When using them you can hear the difference that they make. In particular, I find the night and voice settings very useful. Both functions bring an exceptional clarity. The night setting allows you to enjoy clear sound at low volume. This clarity of sound is extremely impressive in all modes. When linked with rear speakers and subwoofer, the settings for cinema and music come into their own; the sound becomes all enveloping, and you can really drift away. Another very useful feature is interlocking with the TV. This allows you to use the TV remote control for volume, and other functions. Overall, I am delighted with the all aspects of the product. It has brilliant sound quality with impressive easy to use features. Highly recommended!

The new flagship sound bar A7000 from Sony takes the sound you can experience in the home to a completely different level. The bar has definitely been raised, you experience music or film soundtrack as if your are in a auditorium. It’s so good you can hear a pin drop. Set up is very simply, connect it up and the sound bar does the rest.

This system is a beast both in size and in the excellence of the quality of sound it reproduces. I have had soundbars as part of my TV setups for years, but this system from Sony is, in my opinion, the best I have ever had and heard. I was at first worried by the physical size of the units, these are big compared to other systems but there is a reason for this, in that they are packed with technology and quality components for the sole purpose of immersing you in that cinematic and entertainment experience that we all love. This system does this by the bucketful. My system comprises of the HT-A7000 soundbar, the SA-SW5 wireless Subwoofer and the SA-RS3S wireless rear speakers. The design of the components of this system are so sleek and modern, and by using a combination of quality materials ensures that this sound system looks the part in any environment it is being used. I found that setting up the system straightforward, as I was replacing an older Sony system it was like plug and play, with the technology finding and connecting all the additional speakers within seconds, running the sound field optimiser and I was ready to go (listen). The written instructions that come with the system comprehensive and will ensure that you are able to set the system up to ensure optimal use. This speaker system can be used with a range of devices connected in several ways e.g., Bluetooth, USB and WIFI. The HT-A7000 can be used as a standalone system and when used on its own it utilises its built-in technology to create a virtual surround sound system, individually for the space you are using it in, that is second to none. It has a combination of front speakers, tweeter speakers and bass speakers. Some of the speakers point upwards which you can really hear when you stand up in your room. The system has several pre-defined settings that you can select dependent upon what you are watching / listening to. E.G. Cinema, Music, Standard etc. These produce a great quality sound and are subtly different. The voice clarity of the spoken words through this sound system is the best I have heard. For me, the system produces the best sound when you use the Immersive AE function and let the software enhance the sound and its distribution to produce a wonderful, immersive, and entertaining viewing experience. This really is a fantastic sound system but for me, what elevates it to an ultimate system is the addition of the wireless sub-woofer speaker and the wireless surround sound speakers. Attaching these was so simple all you need is a power socket but no other cables to run around the room. These speakers were recognised and connected by the system within seconds of switching on. These powerful additional speakers have their own volume settings that can be adjusted to suit your taste, but I have to say the deep bass of the sub-woofer, the clarity of the surround speakers together with the combination of sounds from the HT-A7000 sound bar really do make the experience totally immersive and the best I have heard. For me watching movies at home is now as close as it can be to watching them at the cinema. Whilst watching a movie, I thought at one point I had a water leak running down the inside of my wall only to realise the sound of running water was in the movie coming through the speaker system. I love it. This sound system looks great and sounds even better, the only tiny disappointment is the quality of the remote-control unit, I would like to see the cover being a bit more substantive, that would complement the other materials used, possibly even a form of metal. Would I recommend this product? Yes, absolutely without hesitation. The quality and clarity of the sound is fantastic, the set up so straightforward. For me, the ultimate immersive experience is when you use the HT-A7000 with the Sony wireless sub-woofer and surround sound speakers.

A slice of cinema at home, Easy to set up, A real eye-catching quality solid build (work of art) This is Sony at its finest, The sound is outstanding and the volume range is exemplary. The size is larger in width than I calculated which means for me with the Sony kd55A8 TV I will be mounting the TV to the wall instead of it resting on its legs as the soundbar is wider than the TV, this is not a problem as the soundbar thoroughly deserves it rightful place at where it can work to its best. And its best is Awesome. Combined with an easy pair to the wireless Sony Bluetooth speakers it really does make you feel excited about which film/program/game I'm going to watch or play.

Set up was fairly easy, most of it is done by the soundbar itself. The sound is amazing - Clear crisp highs and deep bass lows (accompanied by the Subwoofer). I would highly recommend this product. The only possible downside is the size... It's huge, 1.3m long. I'm going to have to buy a bigger TV stand. It can be wall mounted and the fixings are supplied (nice touch).

INSTALLATION IS SIMPLE AND QUICK AND EACH SPEAKER SEEMLESSLY CONNECTS WIRELESSLY WITH THE MAIN SOUNDBAR, (YOU JUST HAVE TO FIND AN APPROPRIATE AREA IN YOUR ROOM CLOSE TO AN ELECTRICAL SOCKET FOR EACH SPEAKER). THE 7.1.2 SOUND SET UP, IS TRULY SPECTACULAR ENVELOPPING AND IMMERSING THE LISTENER WITH HIGH QUALITY AUDIO OR DOLBY ATMOS/DTS SOUND FROM BLU RAY, AUDIO CD AUDIO AND 4K UHD DISCS. I'M IN SONIC HEAVEN EVERY TIME I USE MY NEW SOUNDBAR SYSTEM!

This fully featured all in one soundbar offers all the most useful features of a multi speaker home cinema set up. It sounds bright and full of detail with a subtle bass range, which suits a medium sized room without any need for an additional sub woofer. Adding Sony's optional sub and rear speakers takes it out of this world!

Had this for more than a month and am happy with it. Sound wise, its quite detail and can go loud. The surround modes are quite impressive and so was the soundstage. Good with music too, especially with Tidal 360. Lots of functions, Chromecast, Bluetooth etc and it seamlessly integrates well with my Sony Bravia TV. I also like that they provide the wall brackets. All in all a good buy.

Bought this after hearing the system at a friends house. Easy to set up and delivers a great sound which turns my television into a home cinema. Looks good and has easy to use controls.

Bought this system to compliment my OLED TV. Better sound than the already beautiful built-in tv speaker. Need to add the wireless sub- woofer for complete package. Only downside is its Expensive cost.

I expected this to take a lot more effort than it did in order to set this up to achieve its full potential, as it turned out, it definitely did not. There are a few options that the system offers, in fact there's more than a few options, covering all connection methods and scenarios. You can be as simple as connecting a hdmi cable into the eARC or ARC connection on your TV, or as I did, connect devices through the hdmi 2.1 pass through ports, allowing the full 7.1 audio from my ps5. The sound output is quite magnificent, rich tones replicated with no lag, and even as a stand-alone unit, the A7000 manages to bounce sounds round the room in a very surreal manner, sound you swear are coming from above and behind you, yet you know they're being sent from right there in front of you. You might think that setting up the sound is a daunting task, but no, the A7000 has a fully automated set-up method using soundfield optimisation by sending different sounds through each speaker the A7000 measures the response times to judge the shape and size of your room and by using these returned values, will set the speaker settings and levels to be unique to each individual room. Once set up, connected and ready to go, you can sit back and enjoy the audio experience. And what an experience it is, films in surround and Atmos sound absolutely sublime, the difference is very, very noticeable from the usual 2.1 or 2.0 outputted from TV systems. Bass is well rounded with no overbearing nor distorted sounds, a nice thick bass matched with equally rich sounding miss and highs, each fired from its own style of speaker with no compression artifacts, nor any flat areas, the sound is quite simply, something you'd expect in a theatre, not a home. The soundbar supports a wide range of sound codecs, including Atmos, DTS, 3D Audio and many more, the built in Google cast, Alexa, LDAC Bluetooth connection, 3.5mm analogue and optical ports mean there's connection methods for any scenario, for most others there's also the Sony music centre mobile app which will connect your smartphone to the speaker via the internet, and can stream almost all other music apps via remote connection. With connection methods all over the place, a top line sound system and a very user friendly set up, it's very hard to find anything negative about this system, it's a very, very enjoyable experience all round, and would not think twice about recommending it to others. A very solid performer.

I bought it two months ago.Another excellent product from Sony. Exceptional sound and few very nice options. Immersive AI brings this unit to another level. Very happy with this purchase.

Do not hesitate to buy this soundbar, it is awesome! Only complaint is I cannot buy the surround speakers or the subwoofer as they are not yet in stock

MIND BLOWINNG SOUNDBAR NEED TO PAIR WITH SA-SW5 SUBWOOFER HOW EVER I FOUND THAT WHEN TURNING ON VOICE WILL HAVE A CRACKLING SOUND WHEN WATCHING MOVIES OR TV SHOWS ON CERTAIN HIGH VOLUME ON INTERNET SERVICES LIKE NETFLI DISYNEY OR AMAZON TURNING OF VOICE OFF WOULD SOLVE THE ISSUE. PLEASE TAKE NOT YOU NEED TO HAVE NETFLIX OR DISYNEY OR AMAZONE PRIME TO ENJOY THE FULL POTENTIAL OF THE SOUNDBAR. MY SUGGESION USING THE SOUNDBAR DUN TURN OFF THE IMMERSIVE AE AS IT CREATE THE SOUND IN A 3D DIMENSION EFFECT I FOUND THAT IT IS USEFUL WHEN CASTING MUSIC ON TIDAL ON THE SOUNDBAR IT GOES PERFECT WITH SONY OLED TV A80J OR A90J AS THE TV WILL ACT AS THE CENTER SPEAKER OF THE SETUP. A GOOD MOVE TO SONY FOR THE 360 AUDIO REALITY BRING MUSIC SO SHARP AND CRISP. DUN GET THIS SOUNBAR WITHOUT THE SUBWOOFER THATS MY ADVICE..
