Pictures on the recording media in the camera cannot be rotated with the computer.
The pictures cannot be rotated if the camera is set to the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) option. This option is for media transfer only and does not allow modifications to existing images because they are set to Read Only in the file properties. The option to rotate will either be grayed out or not show at all depending on the software you are using. Before you can rotate images, do one of the following:
- Set the camera to the USB Mass Storage mode.
- Transfer the pictures to the hard drive of the computer using PlayMemories Home™ software or other compatible image software.

NOTE: PlayMemories Home 2.0 and above automatically sets the camera to the USB Mass Storage mode when the camera is connected to the computer.
