Notice for Free Repair for Customers of Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera α9 (ILCE-9)

Sony will offer an extension of the free repair service until March 31, 2022.

Thank you for your continued support for Sony products.

We have identified that some units of the Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera α9 (ILCE-9) may experience the issue of rattling of the Multi Interface Shoe, which may occur in rare cases when an optional large flash unit is attached and high pressure is applied on it.

To address this issue, we will repair your affected model free of charge until March 31, 2020.

From 4470001 to 4475048

<Symptom>
The rattling of the Multi Interface Shoe may occur in rare cases when an optional large flash unit is attached and high pressure is applied on it.

<How to check the model and serial number>
The serial number is inscribed on the model plate located on the bottom of the camera.
