Notice to Customers Using Personal Audio System “CFD-S70”

Thank you for your continued support for Sony products.
Sony has discovered that some units of Personal Audio System “CFD-S70” may exhibit some of the symptoms mentioned below. This may happen due to a defect of the internal part which reads the data recorded on an Audio CD.
To ensure customer satisfaction, Sony will repair the affected products without any charge if it exhibits any of the symptoms mentioned below. This free of charge repair will remain available until November 30, 2020.
[Affected Model Number]
- Audio CD cannot be played back
- The message “no CD” appears on the display of the product even though an Audio CD has been inserted
- Sound skips often during the playback of an Audio CD
[Affected Serial Number]
To determine if your product may be affected, please check if the serial number of your player is within the following range:
1000001 - 1115477
[How to check the model name and serial number]
The model name and serial number are located at the bottom of the product.
Note that the serial number label is pasted inside the battery compartment cover. Please open the battery compartment cover to locate the serial number information.
