Importing and exporting DV data with an external HDD

# Is it possible to capture from DV equipment directly to an external hard disk? # I want to export moving images to DV equipment but cannot do so directly from an external hard disk. But, I can export them to the DV equipment without any problem from the internal hard disk after having saved them to this hard disk.

A hard disk to be used for the capturing and saving of moving images must be "stable and fast". There could also be some hard disks that cannot support DVgate motion. When you try to capture moving images through a SCSI board, a PC card and a SCSI port of hard disk, which are poorer in the transfer rate to the originally equipped hard disk, you may have some problems at the time of exporting data to a DV tape.
