How to add network components on Windows98
Execute the following procedure.
You can add network components in the following procedure.
(Let's take the "NetBEUI" protocol as an example. You can add other Clients, Adapters, Protocols and Services in the same procedure.)
1. Click the "Start" button and then click "Control Panel" from "Settings".
2. Double-click the "Network" icon on "Control Panel".
3. When "Network" appears, click the "Add" button.
4. Click "Protocol" on the window of "Select Network Component type" and then click the "Add" button.
5. Click "Microsoft" in the "Manufacturers" list, click "NetBEUI" on "Network Protocol" and then click the "OK"
button.
6. Click the "OK" button on the "Network" window.
7. When the message saying "You must restart your computer before the new settings will take effect. Do you want to restart your computer?" appears, click the "OK" button.
8. After the restart of the computer, the newly added network component becomes enabled.
