General restrictions and caution when using Click to DVD ver. 2.*.
1. Any DVD that is created with Click to DVD are compatible with most home DVD players or computers that have a DVD drive and DVD player software installed.
- For details on how to play the DVD, please refer to the operating instructions for the DVD player or from the Help section of the DVD player software.
- To playback a DVD created with Click to DVD, the DVD player software must be installed on the computer.
2. In order to create a 60 minute DVD, there must be at least 24 GB of free space on the computer's hard disk drive to save the project.
3. There must be at least more than 6 GB of free space on the computer's hard disk in order to create a DVD.
4. The time taken to record a DVD depends on the length of the video to be recorded and the processing speed of the computer.
5. Do not specify an encrypted or compressed drive as the drive for storing files.
6. While using Click to DVD, do not switch the system to standby mode.
7. Close all other software for displaying or playing back video before using Click to DVD.
8. Video capturing stops if another user logs on to the computer using Fast User Switching. After logging on as the original user, restart the operation that was interrupted from the beginning.
9. Please do not use Click to DVD with Remote Desktop and when using the software, please do not change the screen properties.
10. While capturing video from an external device or writing to a DVD, do not start up any other software (including resident software such as the screen saver) or perform any operation that may increase the load on the computer's Central Processing Unit or Hard Disk Drive.
11. Audio compression on the DVD is in AC-3 format.
12. When previewing DV or MICROMV formats with an aspect ratio of 16:9 (widescreen), although it may be displayed at a 4:3 aspect ratio (normal display), but it will be displayed correctly on the completed DVD.
13. Video files, which are less than 1 second long, are unreadable.
14. Up to 98 video clips can be capturing to a folder and in up to 12 folders.
15. Up to 99 pictures can be imported to a folder and in up to 5 folders.
16. The clip will be deleted automatically if a divided clip is less than one second long.
17. If a clip has been divided, please note that there may be a slight discrepancy between the actual chapter position on the DVD and the division position (maximum discrepancy will be half a second).
18. In a captured NTSC video, the displayed frame numbers may not be identical because the frame rate of the video signal is 29.97 frames per second while the displayed frame count is calculated at 30 frames per second.
19. While information is being written to DVD, the suspend function (standby or hibernate) which is normally activated by the computer's timer is deactivated.
20. When using anti-virus software, video may not be captured correctly. Modify the anti-virus program's scan settings to exclude DV-AVI files (file extension is .avi), MPEG files (.mpg), WAV files (.wav) and MICROMV files (.mmv) under the capturing target folder from being scanned by the anti-virus software. The video capture folder is specified at the Save Project File in Save Project File under the Settings dialog box. For anti-virus setting details, please refer to the Help file of the anti-virus software used.
Note: Since this change will prevent the anti-virus software from checking the specified file types, please perform manual virus scan of contents within the video capture folders periodically.
