How to import photos from external devices and media?
To import photos from external devices and media.
Please refer to the steps below to import photos from external devices and media:
1. Click Start and click All Programs -> PictureGear Studio -> Tool -> Photo Collection.
2. Connect a digital camera or a memory card storing photos to the computer.
* For the connection of the device or media to the computer, please refer to the instruction manual of the device or media.
3. Click Import.
* If the device or media connected to the computer supports USB storage, a folder icon will appear. If it supports TWAIN, a camera icon will appear. Depending on the type of icon displayed, please follow the steps below:
A. When a folder icon appears in the Select device containing photoswindow
1. Click List.
* To import all photos stored in the folder, click on the folder icon.
2. Select the photo to import and click Import Selected Photos.
3. Click one of the following options.
- Import into a new folder
This option allows user to select a folder name to be stored from the Photo Folder Name list box or a given file name.
- Import into an existing folder
This option allows user to select a folder name from the Photo Folder Name list box.
4. Click Start Importing.
5. Perform any correction of the photo, if required, and click Finish Importing.
B. When a camera icon appears in the Select device containing photos window
To import photos using this method, the image import software of the connected digital camera should be installed to the computer. For the installation and operation of software, please refer to the instruction manual supplied with the digital camera.
1. Click the camera icon.
2. When the software for importing images supplied with the digital camera starts, import the photo using the running image import software.
3. Click one of the following options.
- Import into a new folder
This option allows user to select a folder name to be stored from the Photo Folder Name list box or a given file name.
- Import into an existing folder
This option allows user to select a folder name from the Photo Folder Name list box.
4. Click Start Importing.
5. Perform any correction of the photo, if required, and click Finish Importing.
