Why is there no music when I click [3D Pinball] on Windows Me?

When I click [Start] -> [Programs] -> [Games] -> [Pinball], there is no music played. Other sounds in 3D Pinball are played properly. Why is that so?
This symptom occurs when there is no path specifying the folder of [Pinball] in the [Start in] box on [Properties] of the [Pinball] shortcut.
