How to configure FAX function?

The FAX function is not installed in the factory shipped state of the VAIO computer.

Follow the steps below to configure the FAX function.
1. Start FAX Console.
2. At FAX Configuration Wizard, click Next.
3. Input the necessary user information and click Next.
4. From the Please select the fax device pull-down menu, select the installed modem and click Next.
5. To enable automatic fax receiving, select the Enable Receive option. Alternativey, select the Manual Answer option to receive fax manually.
6. If required, complete the TSID textbox and click Next.
* TSID is an essential item for some areas. This identifying information is displayed usually in the header of a received fax and used to identify the fax machine that sent the fax. TSID includes usually the sender's fax number and company name.
7. If required, complete the CSID textbox and click Next.
The information input in the CSID textbox will appear on the fax machine of the sender. This serves to confirm that the fax is sent to the designated recipient.
8. To print the received fax automatically, select the Print on option and select the printer that will be used for printing.
To save the received fax, select the Store a copy in a folder option and specify the location for storing. Click Next.
9. Click Finish.

To re-configure the FAX function, please follow the steps below:
1. Start FAX Console.
2. From the Tools menu, click Configure FAX to start FAX Configuration Wizard.
