When casting media content, I cannot control playback
You might experience that you cannot control playback when casting media content using screen mirroring or Chromecast™, after the screen of your Xperia™ device has been turned off for a while. The reason that you suddenly cannot, for example, pause or add videos to the playlist may be that STAMINA mode has been activated automatically to save battery power.
To solve the problem, try these actions one after the other. Verify after each action whether the problem was solved before trying the next one.
- Try deactivating STAMINA mode, either manually or by connecting a charger to your device. If this solves the problem, STAMINA mode has most likely caused casting to stop.
- To avoid the issue, remove the media content app you're using from the list of battery-optimised apps in Settings. When the app has been removed from the list, you can continue using it.
