How to resolve if password for DVD Parental Control was forgotten?

Press the reset button with a pointed object, such as a ballpoint pen.

Please note that pressing the reset button will erase the clock setting and some stored content e.g. tuner preset memory.

For XAV-72BT, reset button is located at 5 in below image.
