If the issue occurs, check the following:
- On your smartphone, open Settings, navigate to Assist & voice input, and then set the Assist app to use the Google app.
- If the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa is assigned to the CUSTOM button, the Google app cannot be operated using the touch sensor control panel. If this is the case, open the Sony | Headphones Connect app and change the CUSTOM button function to Ambient Sound Control.
- The Google app may also not activate if the specifications or OS version of your smartphone do not support it.
