Eye AF for stills and videos

Sony's advanced eye-detection and tracking performance are not only the secret to beautiful still portraits: they also help you capture stunning video footage. By recognising the human or animal eye and maintaining focus on it as your subject moves, Eye AF brings videos to life as never before.

Capture smooth, shake-free video

Record voices loud and clear

Normally when shooting video on an Xperia camera, sound is recorded through stereo microphones to reproduce multi-dimensional sound. But the Xperia PRO-I also features a built-in monaural microphone next to the main camera, enabling you to focus on recording speech clearly while other sounds remain in the background.

Waveform monitor function checks luminance and RGB balance0

By showing luminance level distribution, this feature helps you find the ideal exposure for your shot. It also lets you view each RGB channel so you can check you’ve got the correct balance.

False colour function for adjusting exposure0

False colour is a monitor feature that helps you avoid underexposure and overexposure in your shots. By displaying images in an alternative colour spectrum, it offers an easy, at-a-glance way to read exposure levels. Pink and dark blue, for example, represent underexposed areas of the image, while orange and red indicate overexposed areas.0
