How to enable and disable the settings of Java in Internet Explorer Version 4.*?
Enabling and disabling of the setting of Java in Internet Explorer Version 4.*.
Please refer to the steps below:
Note: There will be some differences in notation even in the same version.
A. Enable the settings of Java for Internet Explorer 4.*
1. Right-click the Internet Explorer icon and then click Properties.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Click Internet Zone, click the Custom option and click Settings.
4. Select the following option:
- In Java -> Java Permissions, select High Safety.
- In Scripting -> Active scripting, select Enable.
- In Scripting -> Scripting of Java applets, select Enable.
5. Click OK and close the dialog box.
Note: When the settings of Java are disabled, error may occur when viewing some Web pages. In this case, enable the settings of Java again.
B. Disable the settings of Java for Internet Explorer 4.*
1. Right-click the Internet Explorer icon and then click Properties.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Click Internet Zone, click the Custom option and click Settings.
4. Select the following option:
- In Java Permissions, select Disable Java
- In Scripting -> Active scripting, select Disable
- In Scripting -> Scripting of Java applets, select Disable
5. Click OK and close the dialog box.
