You can purchase My Sony Care service scheme at anytime¹ within the valid period of the original product warranty period. 1

¹ Sony will regularly review the list of product models covered by the My Sony Care service plan. Whether the product model can be purchased with My Sony Care will be subject to the Sony system without prior notice.

My Sony Care service period will effective after the expiry date of the original free warranty, and would extend product warranty coverage for 1 year or 2 years¹, based on the duration of service plan customer selected.

¹ 2-years service plans only applicable to selected Interchangeable Lens Camera and Camera Lens

My Sony Care will not cover any damages due to normal wear-and-tear & physical damage (including accident, misuse. For instance, damages to display screen or exposure to water), pixel failure on LCD screen (including bright dots and black dots) or image retention situation / burnt mark on OLED displays.

It also not cover the repair or replacement of supplied system software, supplied accessories, waterproof gaskets (including O-ring) or batteries.

For product damage conditions, Sony’s authorized repair technician shall determine whether the repair arrangement would be covered under extended warranty period, through the product inspection process.

You can purchase My Sony Care service plan again when the product is still included in the list of applicable products¹ ².

A product inspection¹ by Sony authorized repair technician would be required. In case the product is not in good condition and requires to repair, customer shall pay the repair charges (including inspection fee, parts and labour charges) before joining My Sony Care².

My Sony Care service plan is only applicable in Hong Kong and Macau regions.

My Sony Care+ Extended Warranty Service is an Extended Warranty service provided by Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Limited (“Sony HK”) to cover your Sony products against inherent mechanical and/or electrical defects or failure following the expiry of the Manufacturer’s Warranty period, to the extent provided by the Manufacturer’s Warranty.

My Sony Care+ Extended Warranty Service provides the following benefits:
• Extended Warranty Service with unlimited repair services for inherent mechanical and/or electrical defects or failure that fall under the scope of the Manufacturer’s Warranty, up to the Product’s Recommended Retail Price (RRP).
• In the event the product cannot be repaired or is deemed beyond economic repair (BER), one (1) replacement product will be provided by Sony at its sole discretion.
• Complimentary Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage device insurance coverage, with two (2), three (3) or four (4) claims for the respective coverage period of twenty-four (24), twenty-seven (27), thirty-six (36), thirty-nine (39) and forty-eight (48) months, each claim covered up to the device’s Recommended Retail Price (RRP) or one (1) replacement for beyond economic repair product.
• Complimentary Earphone Loss Insurance coverage – Commences on the date of your device purchase and continues for a service period of twenty-seven (27) months, depending on your selected plan.
• The Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage Device Group Insurance and Earphone Loss Group Insurance coverage is underwritten by Bolttech Insurance (Hong Kong) Company Limited, with Sony HK as policyholder of the group insurance policy for the benefit of Sony’s customers. who purchased the My Sony Care+ Extended Warranty Service, who will be automatically enrolled as insured members of the ADLD device and LOSS group insurance upon subscription to the Service.
• Professional repairs carried out by Sony's Authorised Service Centers using genuine Sony parts.

My Sony Care+ Extended Warranty Service is only available for new products purchased from Sony authorized channels that are registered for the Service within 30 days of purchase in Hong Kong.

You can subscribe to the My Sony Care+ at any of Offline and Online Sony Store in Hong Kong when purchasing your Products or within 30 days after such purchase from Sony Authorized Dealers under My Sony membership. You will receive an email confirmation from Sony with your subscription details within 1-2 working days after successfully subscribing to the service. Your My Sony Care+ Extended Warranty Service consists of:
• Extended Warranty Service – Commences on the day after the expiry of the Manufacturer’s Warranty and continues for a service period of twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) months, depending on your selected plan.
• Complimentary Accidental Damage Liquid Damage Device Insurance coverage – Commences on the date of your device purchase and continues for a service period of twenty-four (24) to fifty-one (51)months, depending on your selected plan.
• Complimentary Earphone Loss Insurance coverage – Commences on the date of your device purchase and continues for a service period of twenty-seven (27) months, depending on your selected plan.

You can contact the Sony Customer hotline at 2833 5129 from 09:00 – 18:00, Monday – Saturday and WebChat from 09:00 – 20:00, Monday to Sunday, within 14 days from the date of incident, to schedule a walk-in or onsite service request.

Walk-in repair service is available for Camera, Lenses, Mobile Phones, Walkman devices and Overhead headphones. Please bring your device to a Sony Authorized Repair Centre. You will be notified once the service is completed and your device is ready for collection. When making the service request, it's not necessary to pay for the deductible fee.
When Sony help to make the onsite / walk-in repair service under the complimentary Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage device group insurance coverage, you are required to pay a deductible fee (rounded up to the nearest whole dollar directly to the Sony Customer Service. There is no deductible for service requests made under the Extended Warranty service

My Sony Care+ cannot be cancelled, refunded or transferred to a different Product, unless otherwise stated in the Terms and Conditions.

If your Products is replaced under the Manufacturer’s Warranty or the My Sony Care+, the My Sony Care+ coverage will be automatically transferred to the replacement Product. Any remaining service limit and service period will also be carried over to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
