How to change an account type in Windows® XP?

    Changing an account type in Windows® XP.

    Please refer to the steps below.

    1. Click Start, point to Settings and click Control Panel.
    2. Click the User Accounts icon.
    3. Click Change an Account.
    4. Select and click on the account to be changed.
    5. Click Change the account type.
    6. Change the account type from limited to Computer administrator.
    7. Click the Change Account Type button.
    8. Click Close to close user accounts window.
