Using the VAIO with the Blu-ray disc drive equipped to copy the disc recorded in the AVCHD format to a Blu-ray disc while keeping its HD (high definition) image quality.
The following conditions are required to copy the AVCHD disc to the Blu-ray disc on a VAIO computer.
- Conversion to the MPEG2 format:
Due to the specifications of the Blu-ray disc, images cannot be copied in AVCHD format. User can record on the Blu-ray disc after converting the images to MPEG2 format.
- Compatibility and specifications of the Blu-ray disc drive of the VAIO computer:
We are currently confirming the operations of the VAIO's optical disc drive with the AVCHD disc. The above operations are possible only when the drive compatibility is confirmed and the computer specifications satisfy the system requirements.
