    How do I set Browse Master?

    You can change the settings of Browse Master with the following procedure.

    --Note--
    In the case of Windows 2000, you do not need to make any setting.

    --Procedure--
    1) Right-click on the [Network Computer] ([My Network Places]) icon on the desktop and click [Properties] on the displayed menu.

    2) Click [File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network] in the [The following network components are installed] dialog box and click the [Properties] button.

    3) Click the [Advanced] tab. From the pull-down menu of [LM Announce] -> [Browse Master], select an appropriate setting.

    [LM Announce]:
    Yes: You allow other computers to browse your computer.
    No: You do not allow other computers to browse your computer.

    [Browse Master]:
    Enabled: Your computer may be selected as Browse Master.
    Automatic: Your computer is selected as Browse Master when necessary.
    Disabled: Your computer will not be selected as Browse Master.

    4) Click [OK] to close the [File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network] dialog box. Click the [OK] buttons to close other dialog boxes.
