Limitations of MovieShaker Ver 3.* during the playback of images.

    The limitations are listed below:

    A. Random 1 and Random 2
Random 1 and Random 2 are used for selecting the effects at random.
Upon selecting the different option, the image may be seen with a different effect as compared to the previewed playback.

    B. Wipe transition effect
Selecting this transition effect may distort the image as the image is extended horizontally.
Note: Available only in MovieShaker Ver.3.3.01

    C. Direct Draw acceleration
Enabling the QuickTime Direct Draw acceleration on some models may not playback images properly.
If the images cannot be played back, please disable this option with the steps below:

Note: Steps below are based on Windows® XP. Menus and windows may vary depending on the Operating System and versions of Quick Time.
    1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
    2. Click Other Control Panel Options.
    3. Click Quick Time.
    4. Select Video Settings.
    5. Click Options and disable the Enable Direct Draw Acceleration option.
    6. Click Close.

    D. Jog dial window
It is recommended to close the Jog dial window when using this software.
Note: Available only in MovieShaker Ver.3.2

    E. Display settings
On some graphics boards, movies cannot be displayed, depending on the display-related settings.
If the movies cannot be displayed, please refer to the steps below:
    1. Reduce the color number of the screen (e.g. from 32bit color to 16bit color)
    2. Lower the refresh rate.
    3. Disable the Direct Draw acceleration option of Quick Time.
Please refer to About the Direct Draw acceleration to disable this option.

    F. Display Properties settings
Windows may terminate during the playback of still images if the Display Properties settings are set to True Color (24 bit). To avoid this symptom, set to High Color (16 bit) or True Color (32bit).

    G. Lost frames during playback
Lost frames may occur during the playback of large-sized data such as movie with many effects or DV file.
Note: Lost frames will not occur during the exporting of the file.

    H. Usable images
Images that can be displayed with this software are limited to those in the aspect ratio of 4:3.
Images in aspect ratios other than 4:3 will be displayed partially.
Images in the aspect ratio of 16:9 captured from a DV device or MICROMV equipment are displayed in the aspect ratio size of 4:3 by extending the images vertically.

    I. Small characters text
When text-shakes or small characters output on movies, they may become illegible depending on output formats.

    J. Transition between scenes with different playback speeds
If transition is applied to the scenes with different playback speeds, noises may be recorded at the starting and ending point of the transition.
Note: Applicable only in MovieShaker Ver.3.3.02

    K. Slippage of synchronization between audio and video
Slippage of synchronization may occur during the capturing of a frame with average sampling of audio where the DV data is deviated from the original data.
This kind of DV data may be created in the following cases.
    i. When recording is made through the analog input of a DV device
ii. When a TV program is recorded with a DV deck
