Locating received files
You can use the built-in file manager to locate, move, copy, rename or share files that you received using Bluetooth®.
To locate a file received using Bluetooth
Note: The folder location varies by Android version.
Android 13, Android 12
- Find and tap Settings → Storage.
- If your device has an external SD card, tap internal shared storage. If not, go directly to step3. (For Android 13: select SD card in the pulldown menu under Storage)
- Choose a folder according to the category of received files. (Example: "Image" for photos, "Audio" for music files)
- Tap Downloads.
Android 11:
- Find and tap Settings → Storage.
- If your device has an external SD card, tap internal shared storage. If not, go directly to step3.
- Find and tap Files.
- Tap Downloads.
Android 10, Android 9, Android 8:
- Find and tap Settings → Storage.
- If your device has an external SD card, tap internal shared storage. If not, go directly to step3.
- Find and tap Files.
- Tap bluetooth.
Tip: Touch and hold a file to share it, or tap the menu button (three vertical dots) to move, copy or rename it.
You can also download a file manager app from Google Play™ Store. Files received using Bluetooth are found in your file manager's bluetooth folder.
