I bought it because I use it with the A7rV and I couldn't afford a Leica so now I have a Q3 & Q43

Lovely little lens, light weight, crisp sharp pictures ideal for indoor, landscape and around town.

It's good for take photo in day light such as building. It will be best lens size during traveling around.

It's an OK lens, one of the cheaper options, I've since spent more on a better lens

small , light and sharp. good everyday-carry lens.

I'm happy to have this lens, attach to my a7ii feels nice balance to hold for one hand shooting. Auto focus is quick and quiet. Very good for photo and video.

I bought this lens 2 weeks ago and am loving it for its usefulness as an all around lens because it’s so compact! I literally bring it everywhere I go!

A reasonable lens, but with much distortion and not so reliable autofocus

I bought this lens one year ago and I have no regrets.

My main interest is street photography and this lens fits the bill perfectly, it's lightweight but great quality. A great buy.

I just bought this lens to add to my collection and I simply love it. It's a tiny bit soft in the corners, but for the size, quick and silent auto focus and portability you can't beat it. I was a little worried about the 28mm focal length, but it ends up just wide enough (and fast enough) for perfect indoor shots of my kids. I shoot with an A9 because I need something as fast as my kids and I rarely miss a shot with this lens attached.

Very fast focusing and excellent in low light. Great photos even when I use the digital zoom on my Sony a6000 and a full frame lens using a APC sensor. Small size which fits in my bag. If asked I will recommend this lens.

I bought this lens 4 months ago and I am very pleased with what I got for the amount of money I spent. I had read many reviews that it is not the sharpest of lenses, which is true but it is still very sharp and provides good quality pictures. Its excellent for travel photography and decent for potraits.

Very small and light so great for carrying around and outdoor work. The f2 is very useable and not as soft as some reviews suggest, though at the f20 and f22 end it does get a bit soft. Not so hot on starburst effects, I find. I will add a photo but once it's compressed as per the rules it's not really going to tell you anything.

I bought this lens a few months ago for astrophotography and other and it does is remarkable for sharpness!! as far as astrophotography, I have shot just a few but am a beginner so I can't leave great photo's but a pro could get much better than myself!

Happy with the outcome. F2 good depth.. The wide is just right and small in size . Light weight.

Wide enough, light weight. It's good prime wide lens while waiting for 24mm F1.4 drop it's price cross fingers ha ha ha

本來想買一支 35mm F2 鏡頭來作 snap shot 用，可選擇的 Sony 鏡頭有 35mm F2.8, F1.8 及 F1.4. 但這幾個選擇各有一點缺點不適合 snap shot. F1.4 體積太大，F2.8 光圈值太細，F1.8 對焦速度不夠快，後來發現 28mm F2.0 無論體積、對焦、價錢都很適合，買了用落都很滿意，作旅行用亦很不錯，F2.0 成像很好、對焦快、輕便、淺景深令主體有立體感、二人自拍夠 wide、可配合 wide angle converter 變成 21mm 鏡頭，旅行、行山、snap shot 最佳拍檔！大家值得考濾。

Small light fast aperture F2.0 fast focussing and sharp 28mm a little wider than what I would normally use but my 35 and 50mm are f1.4 big and heavy tiring to use all day this Sony is ideal very pleased

Currently using it with Sony A5100. I bought this lens with the consideration to upgrade to FF in future. picture quality is much more better than my kit lens. I use this to shoot my 9 months old baby and it gave me quite a nice "DOF" picture. and it allow me to have better night shoot as well with (F2.0). Only problem is 28mm (=42mm in APS-C) might not suitable to use indoor.. I must say it really worth the price I pay!

Even though the autofocus speed is not as good as G lens, but is just nice for video shooting purposes. Most suitable use with gimbal, as it is very light . So far not many pancake lens by Sony for this purpose ! This is the most wide n light lens for FF camera !

I bought it and ultra wide converter. Both work Great!

Very light weight makes it ideal for hikes. Quiet and super fast focus on the A7iii. Image quality is great for the cost, not as sharp as the Zeiss and Sony G series, but pretty darn good. Wide open aperture is a little softer, but by 2.8 its sharpened up. Good bokeh. Very good on the flare and coma. The only con - astrophotography is hard with this lens due to the in-camera manual focus (clutch). There is no way to find set point and mark it on the body, so you are having to fine tune it every time. I had to make a Bahtinov focusing mask to help speed up the process. I've attached some examples (no lens correction or noise reduction)

The FE 28mm f2 is a superb walk around lens with is small size factor and sharp input it is perfect on my Sony A7ii, I want my camera set up to be simple, light and small but will take sharp and clean photos and the lens answer all my needs from street photography, portrait and landscape photography this lens covers it well. I would like to praise also that the auto focus is fast and accurate also. Overall I am very happy.

I purchased this product on the 15th of August to be a prime lens with my brand new AR7 III. I didn't have a lot of funds after purchasing the camera body and since I am using my camera primarily for video I decided the best way to get started was with a prime lens. I am extremely pleased with the results. Using an ND 8 filter, I am able to shoot almost exclusively in the F2 range never going beyond F2.8 under full sun conditions. This lens also kills in low-light situations. A few nights ago I was listening to a podcast on how to configure settings for my camera. I had the camera in front of me, and I decided to let it record as I was playing with the settings. The only light in the room was coming from my computer monitor. I started playing with the settings and once I adjusted the shutter speed the camera could clearly show what the rest of the room looked like including a resin statue with a lot of detail. The picture clearly showed the darkness along with everything in the darkness. I couple of classmates got to see this video, and they were like "Holy smoke your camera does night vision!" I recommend the following things to get more mileage out of this lens: 1. Invest in a UV and Polarizing filter (the lens is a 49 mm lens). 2. Get yourself a ND filter set: at least ND8, ND32, and ND 64. These will serve you well when you are shooting in full sun because they will let you keep your aperture open at its maximum setting. 3. Take advantage of the hood that comes with lens. 4. When shooting at night don't use any of the ND lenses, consider the Polarizing filter. 5. Definitely use a tripod, rig or gimble when shooting with this lens because it doesn't have image stabilization.

I bought this for shooting landscapes but I need a wider lens

Bought it because it's cheap and offers a decent aperture for this range. Very versatile for both portraits and landscape. Way to go Sony ! Awesome !

Bought this lens last month, and I'm so happy with the performance of this lens! The image is tack sharp, love the Bokeh of this lens. I'm a hybrid shooter, I mounted this lens on my new Sony A7III most of the time, for both photo and video. I used this combination for travel, and work purposes. Cooperating with the Super35mm mode of the camera, I managed to captured most the shot that I intended to cover without walking towards my subject. However the down sides of this lens is the lack of stabilization function, however I can simply solve it with my A7III IBIS. (so far so good, but sometimes I would still have to do some warp stabilization in the post) Another drawback of this lens is the distortion and vignetting, but it could be easily fixed in the software. Lastly, I would say that Sony really produce high quality lenses! As a formal Canon DSLR user, there're time that I would expect some lens flare appear when I shoot into the sun (backlit) but rarely that I would encounter with my Sony lenses.

Extremely happy! I really like the non-distorted 16x9 perspective. It was light and sharp.

having the 24-70 gmaster this liggtweight but sharp lens was a welcome for my video work using a gimbal. its filter thread is alao only 49mm so the filters are quite cheap.

Bought in conjunction with the 21mm Ultra wide conversion and very happy. 28mm is one of my favorite focal lengths and this gives very pleasing results. The Ultra wide is a simple attachment for those specious scenes when required. Great price as well.

Great image quality and ease of use. Good price for such a light, sharp and fast lens. Quick focusing.

This is a great lens i brought it mainly for vlogging and needed something that would be good enough to focus and also give good depth of field, i do use it every now and again for stills.

It's my favour lense with good picture quality. Especially the tiny size I can carry to anywhere without any problems.

Clarity across. I was disappointed at first until I realized that not all software reads raw images the same. ACDSee for example opens the raw image but the image is slightly blurred compared to the JPG that I thought I had a camera or lens problem. Then I used Capture One software for Sony Cameras and the images are crisp and clean and when converting from raw to JPG is excellent using Capture One. Just keep that in mind.

Great lens with affordable price. Aperture F2.0 make me feel not enough when I first hear this lens, but after use is for sometimes, I notice that the bokeh is so nice when matching with A7ii. Very great lens to use for landscape and interior. I use this lens a lot when having a great meal with my love one. The 28mm allow me to take the photo of my love that sitting in front of me on the dining.

I use it on my a6000 and the pictures are sharp but there is a noticeable clunking noise. Not sure if that is normal but the images are great.

Bought this as advised by my friend as apposed to 35mm1.8f. no regret. instantly impressed by the bohkeh with 9-blades shutter to achieve near perfect circular bohkeh lights. there are option to add on wide-angle adapter to this lens.
