Worth it buy with the promo price. BUT need to becareful because the dealer try to deliver with USED or DISPLAY item.

I bought this speaker back in March of 23. Worked great until about a month ago. It started getting stuck on "hello" if I did enough (several times over snd over) hard resets by holding down the power and volume down buttons I can sometimes get it to work. Don't waste your money.

My wife didnt like the large Klipsch speakers I had in the living room so I had to compromise. We had a 55” TV (not Sony) and a decent 5.1 sound bar setup. But when I bought the 77” Bravia TV, I knew we needed to step it up. Even though the sound the TV alone puts out is good, the sound bar sounds incredible. Looking forward to getting the rear channel speakers as well. It’s like they have been saying for years, Sony- no baloney.

I can hardly wait until I save up enough money to buy the rear speakers and make it a total package of surround sound. I do enjoy them now. The music sounds better and all the sounds sound excellent. I had just purchased a Sony television and wanted everything to be the same Sony TV, Sony headset, and Sony sound bar.

Do NOT buy this product. It says HELLO on the display and does not work. I have tried resetting it multiple times and it still says HELLO and will not work. You can find customers with the same issue on Reddit with no fix. It happened after the last update. Sony recommends to send it in for repairs since it is a year out of warranty. That would be hundreds of dollars! Now the soundbar, subwoofers, and rear speakers are useless. Choose another brand!!!!!

Originally viewed a lot of sound bars but for some reason this stood out and as i have a sony oled tv i thought stick with sony , i just cannot fault it makes viewing pleasure more enhanced especially now i have paired with the SA-RS3S rear speakers, that being said still more than capable of enhancing the sound quality of theTV which was the only thing lacking in my opinion with my TV

I bought this product last year. Its sound quality was good. All that doesn't matter though since it stopped working within 1 year. I wasn't even able to find whom to contact after jumping through some hoops. Just feeling pretty unhappy about my purchase.

No denying when it's working it sounds great, however it frequently stops working and requires factory reset to make it work again. All software is up to date, but it often freezes and displays "hello" at which point it completely stops working and requires a hard reset.

I have this connected to a sony xr65 TV and have had a frustrating experience with it. I have had the sound dropping out entirely for a few seconds at a time on several occasions also recently the display has shown "muting" for no reason. The only other thing connected to my TV is a Virgin box and on watching certain movies the sound to me seems back to front. What I mean by that is that the music and sound effects are too much to the fore with dialogue sounding muted. I am thinking about taking it back to the seller.

Very simple and sound very clear with base Suggest to add rear sound to get 360 spatial feel

I’m happy and satisfied when I’m watching movie and listening music.

I bought 2 weeks ago, namely the HT A5000 soundbar and SA-SW5 subwoofer, the sound is very satisfying and feels like having a mini theater in my room, next I plan to add the SA-RS5

I bought this soundbar to compliment my setup of a console + a pc connected to it and a TV screen, and benefit from the 4K @ 120 Hz - 10 Bit - HDR signal without quality loss over HDMI 2.1 with full Adobe Vision + Atmos support, with VRR and ALLM, which the soundbar firmware did not bring on launch but added later as promised by Sony. The only negative point is the limitation of one year warranty that in my case has now runned out.

I recently upgraded from my HT-A3000 to a HT-A5000. I loved my A3000 but the A5000 is a significant upgrade. The powerful bass adds so much to my viewing experience as do the up firing speaker. Just a much more immersive feel. My A3000 happily resides in my bedroom and for me, that’s a perfect fit too! My only complaint is that it was not designed to fit between my 65” A80L stand (legs). Poor design flaw on Sony’s part. I was able to make it work and couldn’t be happier!

Good sound but works excellent with rear speakers. So far very satisfied

I expected better sound quality, and i having difficulty finding right tune with the tv, called once and went in person to The Curve Sony Centre, yet unable to sort out, because no physical technical support to check at your place..Regretted with this kind of after sales product support.

Sound is crystal clear and the built-in subwoofer is amazing. I've paired this with my Sony Bravia 65X90L, it's a great match and the surround sound is absolutely wonderful upon calibration.

I have the speaker for 3 weeks now and I am glad I have made the right choice. This soundbar sounds great. Love the voice clarity. The only downside perhaps is the base not punchy enough despite I bought the subwoofer SW3 as well. The height of this soundbar was excellent. It does not cover my TV screen on the console. However, this may not be the case if my TV is a Sony TV

Bought this a few weeks ago, and all I can say is it’s fantastic. The sound that comes out of it is amazing. Well worth the money. Would definitely recommend it.

I bought this a few weeks ago. Paired with a Sony Bravia TV it really puts out immersive sound. Dolby Atmos works well, although I don’t have rear speakers yet so I can I cannot get the full effect. Streaming music works well, especially with spacial audio. Earc connection with a Sony TV is seamless, as is the setup. All in all a great soundbar and I wish I would have gotten it sooner.

I just bought this item...and I'm really happy and the sound quality is very good

Paired HT-A5000 including subwoofer and rear speakers. Although the volume of the rears and sub can be changed, the rears are generally overpowered by the Soundbar even at max rear volume. The rears "fill-in" the sound by the Soundbar dominates. This is more noticable when listening to music. Also, unable to use portable Bluetooth speaker and Soundbar at the same time.

I bought this unit because I got £200 discount with a Bravia TV multi buy deal at Argos & my previous TV failed in Autumn, so I bought this as (sort of) for Christmas. The device was straight forward to set up with the instructions provided & once set up, performs well. To get the full experience, 2 rear speakers & a bass tube are required; which are not included with the main unit. I have linked the HT-A5000 to my iphone via Bluetooth & as I haven’t had a stereo/music sound system since becoming an NHS psychiatric captive 7+ years ago, it was excellent to hear some of favorite tunes in quality audio. There is a free trial of 360 Reality Audio which would be better tested with the full array of speakers, which is why I haven’t initiated said trial.

This soundbar is not much better than the tv volume save your money and don’t waste it on this thing I made that mistake. It’s also been full of problems and trying to get Sony to sort it lol wow good luck with that!! Buy any other product besides Sony and you will be so much happier in the long run and probably save yourself money too.

Love Sony products and repeat viewing them whenever in our Best Buy store in Kokomo, Indiana.

Audio quality is good. 360 reality audio options are limited but they sound great with the soundbar. The sound effects are much clearer in 5.1 rather than 3.1. Looks clean in a wall mount.

I bought the ht-5000 to go with my Sony 65x95L, together they sound fantastic.

Great sounding soundbar makes it feel like you are there. Sound is full, rich, and deep with the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping. Now is the time to develop more media utilizing the spatial sound model to make you feel you are at the concert.

I had review a few soundbar and found this Sony a5000 was so impressive without an external subwoofer. I surely highly recommended for it.

You just have to buy it because words alone can't express how amazing the sound bar is.

This edition is a great choice for any 1st timer in home theatre system. Excellent sound but the size is a bit bigger than usual. Could've been smaller.

Quality sound and good design.. Also easy to setup and use..

It was slightly difficult plugging in my HDMI cables into the in and out port, you have to bend the cables (with braided it makes it a lil more difficult) the surface where the ports are located can also get scratched. I also have the sa-rs3s rear speakers, even at max setting the volume is very low even with the speakers just 2 meters behind me, I can heard hardly anything from behind. I had to use manual configuration and increase the dB value to the maximum number. Apart from that, this is a good soundbar Don't expect distinct atmos sound being projected from the ceiling. that's quite a gimmick but if you turn off the ceiling fan and listen carefully, there is a subtle effect. If they can release a firmware update to address the low volume of sound from rear speakers I think this would be very good combo. Have to live with manual settings for now. I also had some challenges using Bravia Link on my Sony A80K TV, PS5 and the soundbar. All Sony products. After hours of troubleshooting I found that it was my satellite box which was causing a problem. Oddly, I had to use a lower version of HDMI cable (not 2.1) to connect the box to my TV and the Bravialink was able to recognize the soundbar and PS5. It was not simple and took lots of trial and error to make it work. Otherwise, I'm quite happy overall.

Bought this a few weeks ago and already broken down! The soundbar has broken down, can't be power-up after using it for just a few weeks. Quite disappointed with it though it was an good soundbar combine with the Sony woofer i bought.

Bought mine 3 weeks ago and have had no issues . Great sound and pretty good bass output..surround sound is very good in general but I was hoping for a bit more sound for the up firing speakers.. if you have a smaller living room space you don't need the rear speakers or subwoofer as the bar on its own more than holds its weight.. I personally will get the the smaller woofer and rear speakers so I can utilise the 360 spacial option

I bough month ago, when i play netflix and select atmost source, speaking voice are low and blur, its even worst than my tv speaker.

I have very happy with the sound quality, just not very satisfied with the Bluetooth connection, that is not very smooth when connect on Samsung TV.

I bought it 3 months ago. Having it matched with subwoofer SW5, the soundstage is good with enough bass. The soundbar has Google Chromecast and Bluetooth, which makes it easily to play music from my phone.

Brilliant device excellent sound quality easy to set up

I bought this after going through three different manufacture companies sound bars and picked the best.

Bought the HT-A5000 during the holiday season and wanted to hold of giving a review until I could put through its paces. 3 months later I must say THIS is one heck of a sounbar!! To any average listener this fits the bill!! The sounds are rich and fluid and once you pair with with a Sony's subwoofers meant for it and equip the surround modules you got one heck of a package!! About the only reason I have it 4 stats is not a knock on the performance of the HT-A5000, BUT rather what it misses compared to its bigger brother the HT-A7000. I believe Sony SHOULD equip the HT-A5000 with APP support to give users a bot more control on adjusting some sound levels like the HT-A7000. You're given some adjustment freedom but not much. If Sony is listening PLEASE GIVE THE HT-A5000 APP SUPPORT!! However, in my opinion this was not a deal breaker when we purchased the bar as I was impressed by the overall sound quality. Still Sony can do this with an extensive software update and I HOPE they can and bring a unified app experience like the HT-A7000. For us normal listeners THIS soundbar rocks!! Don't overlook the minor omission of the app support as the price point is a little better on the wallet and in terms of size a bit more manageable compared to the HT-A7000. You won't regret the HT-A5000!!

I purchased to replace my old theatre system which was a wired system. It was low end and wasn’t such a great sounding system. After some research and looking at alternatives I was given a demo of the soundbar the rest is history. It produces rich sound in my family room that has 20 ft ceilings, the set up was a breeze out of the box I was enjoying a totally immersive sound experience that I never had with my old system. This is truly an amazing system that I invested in even with my music and the Bluetooth connectivity, this is a solid buy. The price is great compared to other brands and overall it’s the quality of a Sony product. I’m truly enjoying it.

I was very pleased with the sound and the prices and the looks.

Saw the demo on the store (best buy) and HAD to get it. But, I guess that switch that was supposed to turn the subwoofer off wasn't working... So, I'm saving up to buy one, because it really needs it. Also, that display is obviously playing an ATMOS signal....there's nothing on "TV" that is going to make this system "shine". Going to have to find some sources "in the wild" for that content.

I am very happy with this product. I did purchase the Subwoofer SW3 a few weeks after the initial purchase. The subwoofer fills the room with a richer sound. This is very evident when playing music on the device. It also has an impact on certain television content like movies and live sports.Overall though though I am very happy with the performance of the sound bar.

I bought the A5000 soundbar 10 days ago. Easy set up out of the box and a great sound Until connecting up the S-Centre speaking feature to my Bravia XR, at that point the bar hisses constantly. Sony CS responded with troubleshooting which didn’t work. Purchased a ground loop noise isolator which killed the hiss but resulted in a completely muffled sound, purchased a high quality screened 3.5mm stereo cable to replace the one supplied, this reduced but didn’t cure the hiss. Having bought it for this feature I’m now returning the soundbar, disappointed at the outcome!

I bought this month ago enjoying the sound really love it.

The sound from this Spacial Sound MappingDolby Atmos Sound Bar is superb. It fills the room with either dialogue or music. Exceptionally clear rendition, lovely to hear music as it should be heard. Although rather large it tucked away behind the tv and wasn’t obtrusive, we didn’t lose any sound quality , wonderful piece of workmanship. Anyone thinking of buying a sound bar should go to a Sony showroom to hear this before deciding. You certainly won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic picture even for a 77 inch. Love the look of the tv too. The finish on it is superb. It has the wow factor when mounted on the wall.

Flawless frequency of surround sound coupled with crystal clear clarity of very detailed percussions and sound effects. Absolutely an amazing soundbar!

Brought as a gift, but after hearing with the combined setup with the RS3S (surround) and SW5 (subwoofer) I want the setup myself, ;)
