How can I add and remove a modem driver on Windows Me?
Remove and add the modem driver in reference to the following procedures.
# Conexant HCF PCI Modem: Installed to PCG-C1VMT and PCG-C1VGT
--Procedure--
1) Click the [Start] button and then click [Settings]-[Control Panel].
2) Double-click the icon of [Add/Remove Programs].
3) Click the [Install/Uninstall] tab.
4) Click [Conexant HCF PCI Modem] and then click the [Add/Remove] button to remove the modem.
5) When the dialog box saying "Are you sure you want to remove 'Conexant HCF PCI Modem' and all of its components?" appears, click the [Yes] button.
6) If the confirmation message saying "You must restart your computer before the new settings will take effect. Do you want to restart your computer now?" appears, click the [No] button. And then close all open windows and restart Windows.
7) In the middle of the startup of Windows, the message saying "Windows has found new hardware and is locating the software for it. (PCI Communication Device)" appears, and then the dialog box of [Add New Hardware Wizard] follows it.
8) Click the option button of [Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)] and then click the [Next] button.
9) Turn on the checkbox of [Specify a location], specify [c:/windows/options/cabs] and click the [Next] button.
* Turn off the checkbox of [Removable Media (Floppy, CD-ROM)].
10) When the dialog box of [Windows driver file search for the device] appears, click the [Next] button.
11) Click the [Finish] button.
12) [Conexant HCF PCI Modem] is automatically installed.
