To create shortcuts for applications and files from Windows Explorer.
Please refer to the steps below:
For this example, the Microsoft Paint program is used.
1. Right-click on any empty area on the desktop.
2. Point to New.
3. Click Shortcut.
4. Create a shortcut for the file path or browse the computer to find the appropriate file path.
5. Browse the Program Files directory to find the Microsoft Paint file.
6. Click Next.
7. Type a name for the shortcut.
8. Click Finish.
9. The new shortcut is now on the desktop.
