How to enable/disable the auto-run function of the DVD/CD-ROM drive?
To enable the auto-run function, follow the steps below:
1. Click Start and click My Computer.
2. Right-click the DVD/CD-ROM drive and click Properties.
3. Click the Auto Play tab.
4. From the Select a content type, then choose an action for Windows to perform automatically when that type is used in this device pull-down menu, select a type of file which auto-run is to be enabled.
5. Select the Select an action to perform option and click the appropriate program.
6. Click OK.
To disable the auto-run function, follow the steps below:
Press and hold the Shift key when inserting a DVD/CD-ROM.
or
1. Click Start and click My Computer.
2. Right-click the DVD/CD-ROM drive and click Properties.
3. Click the Auto Play tab.
4. From the Select a content type, then choose an action for Windows to perform automatically when that type is used in this device pull-down menu, select a type of file which auto-run is to be disabled.
5. Select the Select an action to perform option and click Take no action.
6. Click OK.
