How can the default associated application of a program be changed?
Changing the default associated application when double-clicking a file with the same extension.
There are two methods to change the default associated program.
Method 1
1. Right-click on file and point to Open with.
2. If the application is not being listed, click Choose Program.
3. Select the desired application to launch the file. If the required application is not listed, click Browse and browse for the application manually.
4. Select the option Always use the selected program to open this kind of file and click OK.
Method 2
1. Start Control Panel and click Performance and Themes.
2. Click Folder Options and click the File Types.
3. Click the extension of the file and click Change.
4. Select the desired application to launch the file. If the required application is not listed, click Browse and browsed for the application manually.
5. Select the option of Always use the selected program to open this kind of file and click OK.
