Preparation

Check the Software version

Your software may already be up to date. If you're not sure, it's easy to check which software version you have by following these instructions:

  1. On the TV remote control, press the Home button, and then press the gear (Dashboard) button to open dashboard.
  2. Select All settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select About.
    The software version number, UKNx.xxxxxx.xxx, is shown as Android TV OS build.
    If the version number is UKN7.260716.012 or higher, you already have the most recent software version, and updating is not required.

How to update the firmware on your BRAVIA TV

You will automatically receive a notification to update your TV. However, you can also check for an update manually by following the steps below.

  1. On the TV remote control, press the Home button, and then press the gear (Dashboard) button to open dashboard.
  2. Select All settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select About.
  5. Select System update.

Note: Your TV may indicate the software is up to date even if the newer version is not installed. The updates for automatic software downloads are staggered releases and may not be immediately available. Please try again later.
