Preparation

Check the firmware version

If the firmware version is already 2.4.2, you do not need to perform the update. If you're not sure, it's easy to check which firmware version you have:

  1. Launch the REON POCKET app.
  2. Connect your REON POCKET device to the app.
  3. Tap the settings icon (gear icon) on the app screen.
  4. Select Device Information.
  5. Confirm the firmware version.

Important notice

  • Do not turn the REON POCKET off or press the device buttons during the update.
  • Stop any active cooling or warming operations before starting the update.
  • Do not perform the update in a location where the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal is inconsistent or congested.
  • Make sure both your smartphone and the REON POCKET device are fully charged.
  • To ensure a stable connection, disconnect all other Bluetooth devices, such as smartwatches or other wearable devices, from your smartphone before starting the update.

Before you upgrade

  • Once updated, the firmware cannot be reverted to an earlier version.
  • The update process will take a few minutes to complete depending on your connection environment and device.

Download & Install

To update the REON POCKET, follow the procedure below:

  1. Launch the REON POCKET app.
  2. Connect your device to the app.
  3. If an update is applicable, an update notification will be displayed on the main screen.
  4. Tap the notification and select START (for Android) or Start (for iOS).
  5. The download and transfer process will start automatically. Do not close the app or disconnect Bluetooth during this time.
    (Note: The device may restart automatically during the update process.)
  6. When the software update is completed, a confirmation message will appear. Press OK.

Step 2: Check the Update Was Successful

After the update, confirm the new version has been installed successfully by following the steps in the Check the Firmware Version section. If the firmware version shown is 2.4.0, the upgrade was successful.

What Should I Do If an Update Error Message Appears?

  1. Press OK to close the message.
  2. Restart the REON POCKET device by turning it off and on again.
  3. Restart the REON POCKET app and try the update again.
  4. Even if the update seemed to fail during the process, check the firmware version to confirm. If the version shown is 2.4.2, the firmware update was actually successful. If not, try the update again in a location with a stable wireless connection.
